Hi! We’re Tori and Mel and if you’re here for the first time, welcome! Thank you so much for joining us, checking us out, or sharing us with your friends. This year has been an exciting pivot after a slow start to business!

If you’re meeting us for the first time, the most important thing you should know is we believe strongly in art as a healing and meaningful experience for everyone - especially adults. At our core, we are humans who never stopped making art and want to spread the love of art making to adults in our community. Our goal is to make art accessible, affordable, and provide interesting workshops and events for adults to unleash their inner creative soul in. Recently, we noticed a huge shift from digital connection back to in-person connections, and a lot of this shift is revolving around wanting to “do” something that isn’t sitting around at a cafe or bar. If you’re reading this and are an adult who wants to engage in more meaningful activities, you might have just found your new happy spot at HTS!

Leading up to this exciting new influx of participants joining us at the studio, we were two girls working in a corporate environment that crushed our creative souls. Our friendship origin story goes back to meeting in graduate school for our masters in art therapy. From there, we graduated and went on to working full time as art therapists in a higher level of care for an eating disorder treatment center. While the work was so meaningful and our clients joined in on our passion of art making as a way to heal, working full time in an environment that we couldn’t fully embrace creative expression was so hard. We both made the decision to work in private practice and operate our own businesses, with a dream to create an art studio together one day that we could really grow and share with others how much fun art making is. The studio you see today is 3 years in the making, trial and error experimenting over what works for our community and until recently, it was all error.

Every time we thought we found our groove or made headway into getting recognized in Bristol Boro, we would stall and go right back to square one. We trialed having guest workshop facilitators join us to share their expertise and passions, and what worked for a little, slowly started fading out again. In October of 2025 we made the hard decision to post about how we were not selling as many seats for workshops and were scaling back to 1 workshop a month to hopefully funnel our business into 1 successful workshop instead of a few empty ones. In January of 2026, Mel had an idea to make a TikTok as another effort to reach a local audience. This was the best thing that could happen to our business due to a few videos really taking off in our local community! Not only were we reaching a whole new audience that were near Bristol Boro, we were reaching folks across the country wishing they were closer! Along with receiving a marketing grant from Visit Bucks County tourism, our reach was finally bringing the audience we have been hoping for after 3 years of business!

Now, we’re offering around a dozen workshops a month with guest facilitators again to share their passion for art making, and we’re selling out!! Our little studio can only fit so many people at once so all our workshops are limited! But the trend of getting together and spending quality time with other like-minded people is in full swing, and we welcome you all! We’re trying to offer a variety of workshops from the materials used to the cost of the seat, we want everyone to feel like they can find a place here with us.

The best part about us, you don’t have to be good at making art to join. We’ll help you embrace the imperfection, learning a skill again for the first time, and still love what you’re leaving with. So, grab a friend or your favorite drink and snack and come join us for whatever looks like could spark your inner creative artist!
