About the event
The craft trend that's taking the internet by storm is coming to Healing Thyme Studio!
Kinusaiga is a contemporary Japanese art form that combines elements of traditional textile techniques with modern materials and methods. It involves creating intricate fabric collages by pressing fabric scraps into pre-cut grooves on a foam board, resulting in textured, layered artworks without the need for sewing!
This stitch-free method is both meditative and accessible. By the end, you will have a finished piece that looks like intricate, textured painting, but is made entirely from tucked fabric scraps, showcasing a sustainable and beautiful approach to craft!
All materials are included in the workshop to create your own piece! If you have any fabric scraps you'd like to use, please feel free to bring them! Mel will have designs to choose from upon arrival. If there are any designs you wish to try, please send them to…
