Altered Books is the original and most popular group at Healing Thyme Studio, a vibrant hub for creativity and artistic expression! In this engaging and dynamic setting, we come together to transform old hardback books into unique works of art that serve not just as artistic creations, but as visual journals that reflect our personal journeys. Each session is guided by a group facilitator who introduces a variety of themed prompts designed to inspire and ignite our creativity. These prompts can range from exploring emotions and memories to delving into nature or abstract concepts, allowing participants to tap into their innermost thoughts and feelings. Participants are encouraged to use a wide array of materials, including collage elements such as magazine cutouts, photographs, decorative papers, and fabric, as well as traditional art supplies like paints, inks, and drawing tools.
